Boost Your Business with LAPM SOFTWARE

LAPM Accounting

Login screen for LAPM with email and password fields.

Accounting that moves as fast as your firm does.

Sign in from any browser, set up your chart of accounts, and start billing. GST is handled at the line level — GST on Income, GST on Expenses, GST-free, Tax-exempt, No Tax — with tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive treatment at the invoice level and all with law firm disbursement and cost recovery billing in mind.

Every invoice posts straight to the GL. Every payment reconciles against the statement. Every report regenerates the moment the underlying numbers change.

The twelve things that matter most

  1. Live GL balances. Post a journal, the account balance changes in the same request — same transaction, same millisecond.
  2. Per-line GST. GST on Income, GST on Expenses, GST-free, Tax-exempt, No Tax — applied at the line level, tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive at the invoice level. GST Clearing Account auto-tracked from every posting.
  3. Immutable finalised invoices. Draft → Finalised, and finalised means finalised. No silent back-door edits. If something needs to change, you re-draft.
  4. Draft → Post → Void manual journals. Nothing posts unreviewed. Voiding creates a reversal, not a deletion. The audit trail is never broken.
  5. Hard balance enforcement on every journal. Debits must equal credits. Unbalanced entries never get saved — they can't.
  6. CSV bank-statement import with smart matching. Auto-detects date, description, debit, credit. Duplicate-import protection. One-click rollback of an entire import.
  7. Three-way bank reconciliation. Statement balance vs. journal balance vs. GL account balance — reconciled to the cent, with variance drill-down.
  8. Four core financial reports. P&L, Balance Sheet, Activity Statement, Bank Reconciliation — date-range filtered, drill-down to source, PDF export.
  9. Live dashboard. Cash position, outstanding-invoice aging, reconciliation status — updates across every screen in the firm without a refresh.
  10. Shared Access. Invite a colleague as Guest (read-only) or Editor (read-write), revocable in one click. Server-enforced — the UI can't leak what the backend won't allow.
  11. Full audit log + soft-delete retention. Every create, update, delete recorded with user and timestamp. Records archived, never hard-deleted.
  12. Browser or desktop. Electron for Windows and macOS, web for everywhere else. Same data, same view.

What makes LAPM different?

Five things we built into the foundation, not bolted on later.

1. GL balances that match reality, right now.Post a journal and the GL account balance updates in the same database transaction. The number on your screen is the number in the database. Full stop.

2. A manual-journal lifecycle that respects the audit trail.Manual journals move through Draft → Posted → Voided. You cannot delete a posted journal — you can only void it, which leaves a reversal entry in the ledger. When the auditor asks "why is there a $4,200 movement on 3 June?" you have a traceable answer, not a gap.

3. Three-way bank reconciliation. Most tools reconcile the statement against the journal and call it done. Lokiii reconciles three ways — statement balance, journal balance, and the GL account balance — so a variance tells you instantly whether you're looking at a missed import, an unposted journal, or a GL miscoding.

4. A dashboard driven by events, not polling. When someone on your team finalises an invoice, your outstanding-invoice total updates the moment they save. Same data, two screens, one truth — without anyone pressing refresh.

5. Shared Access as a first-class feature.Invite your accountant, your bookkeeper, or your business partner as Guest or Editor. Revoke with one click. Permissions are enforced at the server — a Guest physically cannot post a journal, regardless of what the UI lets them click.

And behind all of it: per-line GST, finalised-invoice immutability, debit/credit balance enforcement on every entry, full audit logging on every change, soft-delete retention so the record survives the archive, and a proper auth lifecycle so stale sessions don't hang around.

LAPM doesn't try to be bigger than the competition. It just does the fundamentals properly.

LAPM Bundles

Login page for LAPM Bundles, an automated court bundle generation tool for law firms.

Document handling

  • Multi-format upload — PDF, Word (DOCX, DOC), Excel (XLSX), and RTF, up to 50 MB per file
  • Automatic conversion — Word and Excel documents converted to PDF in the background, no manual export needed
  • Drag-and-drop reordering — arrange documents in any sequence with one mouse motion
  • Bulk upload — drop dozens of files at once
  • Document re-use — pull documents from prior bundles into a new one without re-uploading

Bundle assembly

  • Cover page — court, matter, parties, and date, formatted to court-style conventions
  • Table of contents — auto-generated, with accurate page numbers
  • Document index — separate index listing every document with its reference number
  • Hyperlinked TOC and index — every entry is a clickable PDF link (required for Federal Court eBriefs, handled automatically)
  • Auto-generated divider pages — full-page divider before each document, with a reference pill (SC-1, Exhibit A, JW-3) and a one-line cross-reference blurb explaining where the document is cited
  • Continuous Bates numbering — stamped across every page including dividers, with your firm's custom prefix
  • PDF bookmarks — each document appears as a bookmark in the reader's sidebar for instant navigation
  • Volume splitting — automatic split into Vol 1, Vol 2, etc. when bundles exceed court file-size limits
  • Live preview — see the cover, TOC, dividers, and Bates numbers before you generate

Court compliance & formatting

  • Federal Court eBrief format supported out of the box
  • State court formats — NSW Supreme, District, and Local courts
  • Hyperlink compliance — clickable navigation throughout the bundle
  • Searchable PDFs — OCR runs automatically on any scanned document so every word in the brief is full-text searchable on the bench

Security & redaction

  • True rasterised redaction — redacted content is flattened to pixels, genuinely unrecoverable; not a visual rectangle that copy-paste defeats
  • Page-level redaction tools — draw redaction rectangles directly on the PDF preview
  • Encrypted storage — bundles stored securely server-side
  • JWT-based authentication — industry-standard secure sign-in
  • Firm isolation — your documents are completely walled off from other firms on the platform
  • Audit log — every upload, edit, generate, share, and download is recorded
  • Role-based access — admin and user roles with appropriate permissions

Sharing & delivery

  • Secure share links — generate a one-click download URL for any bundle
  • Expiry dates — set when the link should stop working
  • Download tracking — see how many times the recipient has accessed the bundle
  • Email delivery — send the link directly with a branded share email
  • Recipient-friendly preview page — the share link opens to a clean download page, not the raw PDF

Firm management & branding

  • Custom firm logo — upload your firm logo, applied as a watermark on bundle pages
  • Custom Bates prefix — your firm's preferred prefix on every bundle
  • Firm-wide defaults — court, matter format, page styling
  • Multi-user accounts — every fee earner and assistant signs in with their own credentials
  • Bundle history per firm — searchable, filterable, with download and re-generate

Integrations

  • REST API — full programmatic access via /api/external/* endpoints
  • API key management — generate, rotate, and revoke keys from Settings
  • Webhook events — push notifications to your DMS or practice-management system when bundles are created, updated, or downloaded
  • Compatible with major DMS platforms via the API

Experience

  • Browser-based — no installer, no IT setup, works on Mac, Windows, and iPad
  • Dark mode — easy on the eyes during late-night brief preparation
  • In-app guided tour — new users walked through every feature on first sign-in
  • In-app help centre — searchable Q&A covering every workflow
  • Toast notifications — instant feedback on every action
  • Bundle metrics — page counts, generation time, file sizes at a glance
  • Always up to date — new features deploy automatically, no version drift between users
