Data migrations

Changing software and need your data out?

We have done it fifteen ways. It is your data, and getting it back should not cost what they are quoting you.

Why firms call us

The vendor you are leaving is not in a hurry to help.

A fraction of the cost

Vendors quote thousands to export data they are already holding for you. We do the same extraction for a fraction of it, because extraction is the part we do every week rather than once a year.

It is simple, and we do it

We log in on your firm’s behalf and take the data out ourselves. There is no permission to negotiate, no API to buy and no project for your staff to run. It is your data.

Nothing is left behind

Matters, contacts, documents, time, invoices, trust history and the ledger — reconciled against the old system before you switch, so the opening balances are right on day one.

Fifteen systems

We migrate to and from

Plus legacy and cloud systems worldwide — Canada, the USA, the UK, Singapore and across Asia.

How it runs

Four steps, and your staff do almost none of them.

  1. We scope it

Tell us what you are on and what you are moving to. We will tell you what comes across, what does not, and what it costs — before you commit to anything.

  2. We extract

We log in on your behalf and pull the data out. Your team keeps working in the old system while we do it.

  3. We reconcile

Balances, trust ledgers and matter counts matched against the old system. This is the step most migrations skip and most firms regret.

  4. You switch

A cutover weekend, then hypercare while everyone finds their feet. Training included.

Scoped per firm. Ask for a quote and we will give you a number, not a range.

What are you moving off?

Tell us the system and roughly how many matters, and we will come back with a fixed quote and a timeline. If it turns out you are better off staying put, we will say that too.
